Maurizio Sarri's men were close to extending their lead after 15 minutes. It seemed the match was headed for the visitors' victory, but the Romans pulled off something incredible. The Islanders are not the easiest opponents for the Bergamasques. In the previous season, for example, the teams traded home wins. Thus, at the Sardegna Arena the hosts won 3-2. At the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia the result was 2-1. However, this fact nicely demonstrates the main strength of the rossoblù – their home form. Atalanta under Maurizio Sarri remains inconsistent, but gets results when needed. The club had an excellent transfer window: Cristiano Giuntoli kept key players, made profitable sales and good purchases, and shed ballast. Everything bodes well for the Bergamasques' success this season. Cagliari have started well: two wins in three rounds — a great result. However, the match against Inter is currently the most telling. The Sardinians struggle without the ball, find it hard to create chances, and cannot take the initiative against a higher-class opponent. Atalanta may face some problems, but should turn the match into a win.
