However, this statistic does not indicate any crisis of the Old Lady. In the Champions League, for example, Tiago Motta's men secured a very confident victory against PSV. Thus, even before 52 minutes Juventus scored three times and "calmed down" the game. The opponent managed to score towards the end of the game, but this goal obviously did not matter. One of the problems for Motta is Dusan Vlahovic's performance, or rather the lack of it.

Genoa, recently, lost in the main derby. Thus, on Wednesday the team met with Sampdoria in the 1/16 Italian Cup. Alberto Gilardino fielded the main squad against the opponent. For the entire match, the "griffins" did not make a single shot in the opponent's goal.

Interestingly, with their seven conceded goals, Genoa still have a goal disadvantage according to the xGA metric. According to it, the Griffins should have conceded 2.5 goals more. It is worth noting that the rivals shared the points twice last season. However, since then, too much has changed in the game of the teams. Juventus changed their coach, and key players left Genoa. Genoa started the season well, but obviously can't keep their football at the same level. Without several important players and tired after the derby, Alberto Gilardino's men are unlikely to be able to do anything against a victory-hungry Juventus.
