Leipzig fired head coach Jesse Marsch on Sunday. The club's management did not forgive the specialist for another defeat in the Bundesliga, which the Bulls suffered from the Union Berlin. The situation in the league is bad for Leipzig - three defeats in a row and 11th place. In the UEFA Champions League, the German club is also not in good shape. The 5-0 victory over Brugge in the last round was the only reason for Leipzig's joy in the current European Cup season. To hold on to third place, which gives the right to participate in the Europa League in the spring, the Bulls need to play no worse than Brugge, which plays away against PSG. Manchester City defeated PSG last round and guaranteed themselves first place in the group. Now Guardiola has the opportunity to rest his team's leaders and experiment tactically. The Mancunians have put out a long winning streak and are scheduled to face Wolverhampton in the Premier League on Saturday. The sacking of the head coach will undoubtedly affect the mood of the home team. Such events in teams always lead to a shake-up and have a positive effect on the results. Leipzig will not lose an important game.
