Borussia have not had any matches in the current season. The team lacks stability both during one match and during stretches of one or two weeks. In the first decade of November alone, the Bumblebees managed to beat their principal rivals Leipzig and beat Sturm in the Champions League, before losing in the Bundesliga to lowly Mainz almost single-handedly. On the one hand, Borussia is strong in home meetings of the current season. On the other hand, the team can't win away or at their own stadium for more than a month and a half with a difference of more than one goal. We are talking about a distance of eight matches, during which they faced not the strongest Augsburg, St. Pauli, Wolfsburg and the already mentioned Mainz and Sturm.

Freiburg are not distracted by European Cup encounters this season. Concentration on the national arena was expressed in the team's exit in the 1/8 finals of the German Cup and fifth place in the Bundesliga after ten rounds. Freiburg lost only three games this season: Bayern, St Pauli and Leipzig. Only Hamburg club does not fit into the logic, but in the meeting with them Freiburg was accompanied by the evil fate in the form of two unassisted goals and an unassisted penalty. The guests will perform honourably in Dortmund.
